Claudja Barry Signs to indaba/dPulse
indaba Records and dPulse Recordings are pleased to announce the signing of international superstar Claudja Barry for future projects, beginning with the forthcoming indaba Records/dPulse single/EP ‘Good Time’.
With a string of worldwide hits running from her 1979 Gold/Platinum single ‘Boogie Woogie Dancing Shoes’ to the 2006 #1 Billboard Dance hit ‘I Will Stand’, Claudja Barry has been an influential presence on the dance music scene, and her success there has not been lost on the pop world.
Claudja has been nominated for nine Juno Awards, winning for Best Female Artist. She (with Oscar Peterson) was the first inductee into the Canadian Black Music Hall of Fame, as well as a nominee for the American Music Awards (Best Female Artist).
dPulse Recordings and partner label Indaba Records will release an all-newly-recorded version of ‘Good Time’ – with remixes from AJ Mora (Donna Summer), Basscamp, Suite 406 and more - in Spring 2010.
Ms. Barry also continues work on a new album for 2010/2011 release, as well as a selection of live shows throughout the coming year.
